Refund Policy

Last updated: 26 March 2026

This Refund Policy applies to all products purchased directly through brendandmurphy.com. For purchases made through Amazon or other third-party platforms, the refund policies of those platforms apply.

1. Digital Products (Ebooks and Digital Downloads)

All sales of digital products—including ebooks and digital downloads—are final. Due to the immediate nature of digital delivery, we do not offer refunds on digital products once purchased and delivered.

Please ensure you are making an informed purchasing decision prior to purchase. If you have questions about a digital product before buying, contact us at support@brendandmurphy.com before completing your purchase.

2. No Change-of-Mind Refunds on Digital Products

Because digital products are delivered immediately upon purchase and cannot be returned, change-of-mind refunds are not available for any digital product. This policy exists to protect the integrity of the work and is consistent with standard practice for digital content sales.

3. Live Online Sessions and Workshops

Live online sessions—including but not limited to Zoom workshops, masterclasses, and coaching sessions—are subject to the following terms:

  • If Brendan D. Murphy cancels a session and is unable to reschedule, a full refund will be issued.
  • If a customer cancels more than 48 hours before a scheduled session, a credit toward a future session may be offered at Brendan’s discretion. Refunds are not guaranteed for customer cancellations.
  • If a customer cancels within 48 hours of a scheduled session or fails to attend, no refund or credit will be issued.
  • If a session recording is provided to attendees following the live event, the session is considered delivered in full and no refund is available after the recording has been distributed.

Nothing in this section limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law where a service is not delivered as described.

4. Physical Products (Books and Merchandise)

Physical products—including printed books and any merchandise—are eligible for a refund or replacement within 30 days of delivery in the following circumstances:

  • The item arrives damaged or defective
  • The wrong item was delivered
  • The item did not arrive within the stated delivery window

For damaged or incorrect items, photographic evidence may be requested. Return shipping costs for eligible refunds will be covered where required by Australian consumer law.

Change-of-mind returns for physical products are accepted within 14 days of delivery, provided the item is returned in its original, undamaged condition. Return shipping costs in this case are the responsibility of the buyer.

5. Pre-Order Policy

Note on production status: Production of Reverse Engineering the Afterlife is already underway at the time this pre-order opened. Editorial assessment of the manuscript has commenced and cover design is complete. Both are being funded on agreed payment plans. Pre-orders placed through this page fund the remaining and largest stages of production: manuscript editing, interior typesetting, printing, and distribution.

Pre-orders may be cancelled within 7 days of the original purchase date for a full refund. After 7 days, pre-orders are non-refundable due to the committed and ongoing costs of independent publishing, except in the following circumstances:

  • The book is not delivered within 12 months of the stated estimated delivery date; or
  • The physical product arrives damaged, defective, or materially different from what was described, as outlined in Section 4.

High-value tier pre-orders (Visionary — $5,000, Legacy — $25,000) completed via bank transfer are subject to the same 7-day cancellation window. Bank transfers are non-reversible after 7 days from the date funds are received.

To cancel within the 7-day window, email support@brendandmurphy.com with subject line “Pre-Order Cancellation — [Your Name] — [Tier Name]”. Include your proof of purchase. Refunds will be processed within 5 business days.

6. Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this Refund Policy limits or excludes any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010). In particular, consumers are entitled to a remedy—repair, replacement, or refund—for products with a major fault, regardless of any other policy terms.

7. Affiliate and Third-Party Products

This website may contain links to products or services offered by third-party partners or affiliates. Any purchases made through those links are subject to the refund policies of the respective third-party provider. Brendan D. Murphy is not responsible for and has no control over the refund policies of any third-party platform, affiliate partner, or external service.

8. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please email support@brendandmurphy.com with the subject line “Refund Request — [Your Order Details]” and include:

  • Your name and order details or proof of purchase
  • The product or session name and the reason for your refund request
  • Any supporting documentation (e.g. photos of damaged goods, confirmation of a cancelled session)

We aim to respond to all refund requests within 5 business days.
